Project “Luča”

Luča in Montenegrin means light.  As its name suggests, the “Luča” satellite will shine on the edge of space as the first major Montenegrin satellite. The project itself is innovative because of the way it is going to be launched. It consists of two phases in which a new concept of lifting cargo will be tested, initially with the meteorological balloon, and then a rocket that will take the satellite to the desired height.  The aim of the project is to collect new data on the Earth’s atmosphere, as well as to improve technology and the telecommunications system.
